LaMelo Ball is now the first high school player to ever have his own signature shoe.
The question now will be whether or not the youngest Ball brother just ruined his amateur status.
Here’s how the shoe was introduced:

The new shoe will “only” be $395 a pair:

When asked about his son’s amateur status, LaVar Ball basically said “who cares?”
“We’ll worry about it when we get there,” LaVar Ball said to Jeff Goodman. “Who cares? If he can’t play, then he can’t play. It doesn’t mean he’ll stop working out and getting better. … Maybe in two years they’ll change the rule and he’ll be able to the NBA straight out of high school.”
Another interesting note about the Ball family:
LaVar said LaMelo just got a Lamborghini for his 16th birthday. LiAngelo (frosh at UCLA) has a Ferrari and Lonzo drives a Mercedes G-5.

Keep in mind, LiAngelo is only a freshman in college:
LaVar Ball also told ESPN that LiAngelo Ball (freshman at UCLA) will have his own shoe come April: https://t.co/Q2nqjJ16XK

Hey LaVar…the NCAA is on line 2.
