In case you missed it, Rex Chapman accidentally sent Pete Gillen to the grave on Saturday during a live broadcast on the NCAA Tournament Tip-Off show.
Chapman got confused while talking about Gillen and former player God Shammgod, ended his thought with, “rest in peace Pete Gillen.”
Of course, Gillen is alive and well.

How anyone at CNN thought Rex Chapman is a talent is telling. This moron is talking about the late Providence basketball coach Pete Gillen. One problem: Gillen is quite alive. There are multiple other examples of Rex being impossibly uniformed, by the way. pic.twitter.com/le9wABWYVY

Today, Gillen and Barry Hinson, who never passes up an opportunity for a good laugh, sent Chapman a message from Heaven. Chapman replied and shared in the laugh:
Thank God! Hi to Pete for me.
