The Ballard Bruins outscored Newport Central Catholic 28-15 in the 4th quarter as they pulled out a 77-75 win in the King of the Bluegrass Consolation Championship.
NCC had a chance to win the game at the buzzer, but Ben Weyer couldn’t get the three point attempt from the top of the key to go down.
Jalen Perry led the Bruins with 28 points on 11 for 20 shooting. Anthony Eaves also had a big game for Ballard with 26 points.
Drew McDonald finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds for the Thoroughbreds.
