The University of Pikeville has postponed upcoming men’s basketball games against Georgetown College, Campbellsville University and Asbury University.
The press release doesn’t specifically say why the games are postponed, but the assumption seems to be that it’s COVID-19 related:
PIKEVILLE, KY – The following UPIKE men’s basketball upcoming games have been postponed:
UPIKE Men’s Basketball vs. Georgetown Nov. 19
UPIKE Men’s Basketball vs. Campbellsville Nov. 21
UPIKE Men’s Basketball vs. Asbury Nov. 24
Women’s Basketball will remain on regular schedule, opening their conference season at home on Thursday, November 19th against Georgetown.
The men’s games will be rescheduled for a later date. Continue to check online at upikebears.com for schedule updates.
Due to Covid-19, there are attendance limitations for this season. There will be NO visiting team fans in attendance. For UPIKE, only pre-approved personal requests for immediate family members of the players, administrators, and coaches will be granted. There will also be a limited amount of campus ID tickets admitted, which will include faculty, staff and students.
All games will be streamed live on UPIKE Sports Network.
