Sean Miller is going to continue coaching Arizona’s men’s basketball team despite ESPN reporting that he’s been caught on a wiretap discussing a pay-for-play scheme with Christian Dawkins about Deandre Ayton. Miller said the report is false and no such conversation ever happened.

ESPN had this to say after Miller’s public appearance this afternoon:
Miller said in his first public comments since the report that he never knowingly violated NCAA rules and said he has never paid a recruit — “never have, never will.”
A source told ESPN’s Jeff Goodman that Miller will coach the Wildcats on Thursday night when they face Stanford.
Sources told ESPN’s Mark Schlabach last week that FBI wiretaps intercepted phone conversations between Miller and Christian Dawkins, an employee for ASM Sports agent Andy Miller. According to sources familiar with the government’s evidence, Sean Miller and Dawkins discussed paying $100,000 to ensure that Deandre Ayton would sign with the Wildcats.
