For the second-straight game, Anthony Davis has set a new career-high. Davis had 36 points in the Pelicans’ 111-103 loss to Portland two nights ago. Tonight, Davis surpassed that mark with 40 points to go along with 21 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks and 1 steal. Davis was 14-22 and a perfect 12-12 from the line in the 121-120 win over the Celtics. The New Orleans star put the Pelicans up 2 by hitting a jumper with 1.4 left in regulation, but Kris Humphries hit a game-tying shot at the buzzer to send it to overtime.
