Anthony Davis showed why everyone thinks he is a future NBA MVP even though his Pelicans were swept by the Golden State Warriors in the 1st round of the Playoffs.
Davis had a historic 4 games as he became the first player in 40 years to average more than 30 points and 10 rebounds a game in his first playoff series.
The Pelicans must know talent when they see it as they have offered him a max contract for the next 5 years.

According to ESPN.com, the Pelicans have offered Davis a maximum deal that could be worth more than $140 million over five years. Negotiations between the two can begin on July 1.
