Andy Katz Talks Cats Winning Out

In his ‘Breaking Down This Weekend’s Games’ for ESPN, Andy Katz chooses to speak instead about UK winning out for the regular season, and I’m alright with that. (partly because I don’t want to think about the implications of Vandy coming to Rupp this weekend)

Here’s what Andy has to say.

Vanderbilt at Kentucky (12 ET, CBS): Kentucky has three games left to finish off an undefeated SEC regular season. No offense to Georgia, but the ‘Cats should take care of the Bulldogs. Take out Vandy and the only obstacle left is a game at Florida to end the regular season. If Kentucky can accomplish an unblemished mark it would go down as one of the most impressive regular seasons in John Calipari’s career.

OK, I can’t avoid it. This weekend’s game is going to be a beast. Vandy is looking for revenge, and serving Kentucky their first loss at home under John Calipari is about as close as they are going to get this year to doing anything significant. As long as Jenkins doesn’t drop 54 points on the Cats, they should handle this game. And if they do, they should win out because Florida doesn’t have the personnel to compete with Kentucky and Georgia, well, see Andy’s comments.
