Alex Poythress definitely looks the part as he has the build and height of a NBA star.
If you listen to Coach Cal, Poythress has a long way to go, especially defensively, but CBS New York’s Jon Rothstein thinks he looks the most NBA ready of anyone.
3. ALEX THE GREAT
No player on Kentucky looks more ready for the NBA than Alex Poythress. The Wildcats’ freshman forward is a legit 6-foot-7 and is built like an adonis. If Poythress becomes nastier as the season progresses, this team could reach another level. Think a smaller version of Tim Thomas.
I think Alex Poythress will benefit the most from Willie Cauley-Stein and Nerlens Noel being in the game at the same time, which will definitely cause matchup problems for almost any team they play.
