There’s always that one guy that holds the whole team together, the glue guy, and Alex Poythress will be that guy for the Wildcats this season.
On a team like Kentucky’s, full of impact players, Poythress should be the guy who will excel and make big plays without needing the ball.
During UK’s Bahamas exhibition trip last summer, Poythress averaged 11.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per game in six games. Coming back from the torn ACL this past December, you should look for Alex to be a key piece of Kentucky momentum heading into the 2015-16 season.
Head Coach John Calipari will most likely use Poythress at the four in an effort to utilize his ability to exploit bigger opponents and get to the offensive glass.
