Former Kentucky forward Alex Poythress will continue his professional career in China.
Poythress has signed with Jilin Northeast Tigers in China’s top-level CBA league.

Jilin Northeast Tigers (CBA) inked 25-year old American forward Alex Poythress (203-108kg-93, college: Kentucky). He played most recently at Atlanta Hawks in the NBA. In 21 games he averaged 5.1ppg and 3.6rpg last season.
The most of previous (2017-18) season Poythress spent at the Pacers in NBA. But in 24 games he had just 1.1ppg. Poythress helped them to win the G League Central Division title. He also played for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in NBA where in 7 games he recorded very impressive stats: 20.0ppg, 8.9rpg, 2.7apg and 1.4bpg.
Among other achievements Poythress received USBasket.com All-D-League 2nd Team award in 2017.
He has played also professionally in NBA (Philadelphia 76ers).
Poythress attended University of Kentucky until 2016 and it will be his fourth season in pro basketball.
