Former Kentucky forward Alex Poythress is off to a great start with new team Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel.
Poythress had 17 points and 11 rebounds to help lead Maccabi to a 97-91 victory over defending Israeli champions Hapoel Holon in the Israeli League Cup tournament.
Maccabi advanced to the championship game with the win.
