The Terrence Jones saga continues and I for one am sick of hearing about it (and we know you are too since you often let us know). So instead of talking about TJ, let’s talk about the impact this TJ saga is having. There are certainly other recruits that could fill the forward spot at UK, but since there is uncertainty in others decisions are they moving on and selecting other schools so that they can move on?
[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]My opinion is this: I would move on. If I was unemployeed and had two good job offers, one of which was available now and one “might” be available depending on another candidate; I’m taking the one that is available now. If I am a good worker then I can be confident that I am going to be successful and open doors for future opportunity regardless of which company I end up working for.
Perhaps Kentucky and Coach Cal have already moved on and started looking to fill this void. Perhaps they haven’t. Either way, if I was a recruit I wouldn’t let the fate of my future fall into the hands of someone else’s decision and would move on. I think this is negatively impacting UK and they should also move on. If TJ decides on Kentucky then that will be great. If he doesn’t and we’re waiting, we are going to miss out on other qualified recruits.
Leave a comment below to let us know if you think the drama is impacting other recruits and recruiting decisions. Would you take the job that was ready for you today or would you sit and wait for another good job and let someone else decide if you got it or not?
