Washington’s Coach Says Calipari Did Nothing Wrong When Recruiting Terrence Jones

The CATS are now on their way to Maui where they’ll face Oklahoma. Then for the game eveyrone is waiting for. I know they have to beat Oklahoma first, but the game against Washington is definitely the game fans are most interested in.

Yesterday, WA coach Lorenzo Romar took a stab at “hype” balloon, as he made a statement about how John Calipari’s handled the recruitment of Terrence Jones.

Here’s an excerpt from the UW Huskie Insider…

[LEFT][COLOR=#000000][QUOTE=UW Huskie Insider]Because Kentucky also is in the Maui field and looms as a potential second-game opponent, it was inevitable that the recruitment of Portland’s Terrence Jones would come up.

Today it did, with coach Lorenzo Romar cutting straight to the point: “Kentucky coach John) Calipari didn’t do anything wrong in that situation,” he said.

Romar also said that while Jones — who publicly committed to UW before doing a quick about-face and going to Kentucky — probably wishes he could handle his end of the deal differently. But again, Romar seemed to have no interest in blame, and wishes Jones well.
