It was just a normal week until the Chicago Sun-Times decided to include the Nation of Blue in an article that was so outlandish it had every mainstream media guy on the side of Kentucky. I am glad people listen to the Morning Drive, but I sure never thought a couple of statements could end up in the biggest college basketball story of the month. What is more surprising, after they retracted their article, they would print more lies the very next day. Michael O’Brien, if I was you, I would start getting your resume ready for something else. Maybe bagging groceries, or covering hockey. You shouldn’t have picked on the Big Blue Nation because that will eventually be your downfall.

[*]Chane Behanan’s chances are increasing by day to get a shot to play at Kentucky. I have heard there is a good chance he could be visiting Lexington in the next couple of weeks and the Cats are very interested in the favorite for Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball. It is definitely something to keep an eye on.
[*]I have also heard if Behanan makes his way to Kentucky, there is a good chance Michael Chandler might not be far behind. Don’t take that as gospel, but it is something that is a possibility.
[*]I love Joker Phillips quips today about Derrick Locke and the quarterback situation. Every question Phillips was asked about the situation, he told the media to ask Locke. Very good stuff.
[*]One bit of bad news out of today was Mister Cobble is academically ineligible this season. I have some worries about the defense, but Joker said he is excited about the offense so I guess we will see.
[*]Joker also said Mike Hartline will get 1st team reps but that doesn’t mean he will be the #1 quarterback on September 4th. I think he will, but I like the idea of each QB pushing each other. Competition can only make you better.
[*]Fan day is tomorrow at Commonwealth so go and support the 2010 Cats. I wish I could be there but you know how it goes. I can’t wait until the season gets started because I am really getting tired of talking about false accusations towards the basketball team. Till next time! Go Cats!!
