Just a couple of quick notes from this snowy Sunday:

[*]Brandon Webb, former Kentucky Baseball player and Cy Young, is said to have reached a 1 year deal with the Texas Rangers. Webb hasn’t pitched in over a year since having shoulder debridement surgery. There was rumor there was another team in the mix for Webb, and it was the Reds..smh..It would have been nice for the Reds to grab Webb and bring him close to home.
[*]Jacob Tamme had 7 catches for 78 yards and a touchdown as the Indianapolis Colts beat the Oakland Raiders 31-26. Tamme has turned into one of Manning’s go to guys and his stock is definitely on the rise as a top flight NFL tight end.
[*]Stevie Johnson had 5 catches for 58 yards for the Buffalo Bills. The Bills were trounced by Super Bowl favorite New England 34-3.
[*]Orlando Antigua called 2013 recruit Chris Walker yesterday according to Walker’s twitter account. Walker is a 6’8″ forward from Holmes HS in Bonifay, Florida. He is the 7th ranked forward in the class by Scout.com and is listed as a 4 star.
[*]I have heard that Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year and favorite for KY Mr. Football Lamar Dawson from Boyle County is planning a visit to Central Florida on Jan. 21. Kentucky is very interested in grabbing Dawson, but so is every other school in the free world.
[*]John Wall is supposed to play tonight at San Antonio per Michael Lee of the Washington Post. Wall will probably be coming of the bench and will see limited action since missing the last 5 games.
[*]Nation of Blue is glad to have Garrett Tucker join the staff as he is going to be bringing a lot of recruiting news to the Big Blue Nation. Garrett has written for RealSportsnet.com, SwooshNation, and Memphis’ Rivals. You can follow him on twitter here. He happens to be a Georgetown Hoya fan, so you can definitely give him a hard time.
[*]I hope everyone had a great Christmas and got all the things they asked for. Don’t forget the Cats play Coppin State Tuesday and we get ready for the huge matchup in the Yum Center on New Year’s Eve. Go Cats!!!
