The Cats travel to Oxford, Mississippi to play the team with no mascot, the Ole Miss Rebels. A Kentucky football team has not won a game in Oxford since 1978. Now don’t get too excited, they have only played 4 times since that time, but still it is a long time nonetheless. All eyes will be on my boy Mike Hartline, as he leads the offense into hopefully a better performance vs. a team that has looked awful at home. The defense will be facing the thief Jeremiah Masoli, who went wild last week vs. Fresno State. I am always worried about the 1st quarter, and if the Cats come out flat like they did in Gainesville, it could be another long day. I’m expecting a big game from La’Rod King, as the recent standout games of Chris Matthews will gain a lot more attention from the Rebel defense. I guess I will go ahead and make my prediction, and you can make your’s in the comments so we can all compare. Cats 31 Rebels 21. Lets look at some news…

[*]Don’t forget to get up bright and early and get on ticketmaster in the morning for your Big Blue Madness tickets at 7am eastern. I am defintely getting up around 6:30 and getting my “refresh finger” ready to roll.
[*]College Football News picks the Cats to win 35-31. I hope it isn’t that close…
[*]Mike Chandler, a 6’10” center from Lawrence North HS will visit Kentucky on October 15th, which of course is Big Blue Madness. Should be interesting to see if Cal wants a center and a guard, or one or the other to finish off the 2011 class.
[*]I have been keeping up with John Wall on twitter and it looks like he is already the leader of the Wizard team. I also got a chance to watch the Midnight Madness for the Wiz at George Mason on NBAtv. Wall talked about how much he is learning from Gilbert Arenas.. I just hope he doesn’t learn to play cards with him.
[*]Eric Bledsoe it also learning alot from Baron Davis in LA, as Davis is where ever Eric goes trying to help as much as possible.
[*]Jackson Davis, a Lafayette freshman, was listed as #30 in the class of 2014 by ESPN.com. Jackson will be a monster in the years to come, and it is definitely a kid to keep an eye on.
[*]If you have Dish Network, are you as mad as I am right now? If you didn’t know, Dish Network is in a dispute with Fox Sports Network and have pulled all of the channels off their lineup. I get no Reds, no UK game, and I am paying $7 a month extra for the sports channels. Are you kidding me???
[*]Guess I will get ready to listen to the Reds on the freaking radio, and think about giving Directv a call here pretty soon.. Looking forward to the UK/Ole Miss live chat and live feed(only way I am going to watch it)!!! Have a great evening and Go Cats!!!
