A very good question was brought up in the live chat during the ESPNU Big Blue Marathon that I haven’t really thought about. Why haven’t we heard anything about recruiting another center? As you know, Enes Kanter signed his letter of intent today to play for the Cats and you can almost guarantee he is the Cats next starting center. The chances of Daniel Orton coming back are looking like slim and none. So what does all of this mean? Is Patrick Patterson really going to come back and play his senior year? Not likely. I did a search on Rivals.com and the only name it came up with is Paul Bunch, a 6’9″ center from North Lawndale College Prep in Chicago Illinois. I did a little research on him and no one has heard of him. Back to square one. Now I know some of you are saying Josh Harrelson. I just don’t see that either. I really don’t look at Harrelson as a true center. You would have to believe there is a player out there the coaching staff has their eye on. I am going to make it my mission to find out who it is.

[*]What a wonderful day to be a Wildcat fan. I have only been doing this since Christmas and I have never had the jitters I had today. As most of you know, Nation of Blue was the first to confirm the Cats were getting Knight and Gilchrist. I trusted my source, but you still get nervous. I haven’t screamed so much in my life after I heard Kentucky come out of Gilchrist’s mouth. What a wonderful day!!!
[*]I was told today to not forget the name Cody Larson. Hopefully I will tell you more about why as soon as I find out why.
[*]Jarrod Polson worked out at the Craft Center again today, and when he walked in John Wall, Eric Bledsoe, and Darius Miller were sitting around chilling. I have been counting the players we have and the players I think we could get and it isn’t out of the realm of possibility Jarrod could be offered a scholarship. Either way, I just hope he ends up a Cat.
[*]I really enjoyed the live chat today during the ESPNU show and I am thankful to whoever found the live feed. Would anyone like to have a weekly chat with Section 137? Let me know in the comments and maybe we could find the best night for it. The talk would mostly be about recruiting and things I have heard throughout the week.
[*]I don’t know if you knew but I have started my own twitter account. @Section137 is the name, and I will try to tweet out recruiting news, football news, and just crazy things which happens to me on a daily basis.
[*]I know we have had a lot of people asking about the t-shirts and wondering if we are going to sell them. How much would you be willing to pay for them because the total cost of making the shirt and the shipping will make the shirt pretty expensive. Something else you can throw in the comments is what is the max you would pay for the shirt. We want people to get them, but don’t want to rip anyone off.
[*]My final thought is who we are going to get next. I think the consensus is Leslie and Lamb have a pretty good shot of joining this class. Marcus Thornton has also been offered by Kentucky and could pull the trigger very soon. Terrence Jones and Terrence Ross are probably going somewhere together and might want to stay out west. Which leaves Josh Selby. Selby and Lamb both are going to announce where they are going this Saturday. Some people still say it is a 50/50 chance Selby comes to Kentucky. I have a hard time believing that, but with Cal, the impossible seems possible.
