It was ugly. Kentucky showed they could play an ugly game and still be dominant. Defense by the Cats won this game. I used “swelling” throughout the evening to describe Kentucky’s defense and Cornell felt like they were cramming for a final exam. Cornell could not handle the pressure, and I would say have not felt pressure like the Cats displayed. I love the way Orton and Patterson own the paint when they are in together. Patterson’s hustle and ability to keep shots from ever getting to the rim is such a weapon. Darius Miller is still playing well and I look for him to be a big time matchup problem for WVU. The only aspect of the game which worries me is how the Cats looked bored at times. They go into lulls and let teams creep back in to games. You could tell the Cats turned it back on when the Big Red got within 6. It was over after that as the score jumped back up to 12. It was a very nice win, and now it is Huggins. Time to feel the pain. One more game until Indy and I can’t stand the wait!!

[*]Free Throw shooting is such a yo yo throughout the game for the Cats. They couldn’t hit the ocean standing on a pier for most of the game.They finished up shooting 61%, but it got a lot better late when the time was running out on Cornell.
[*]The Cats will play Saturday night at 7pm. What a thought, a game at a time where people over the age of 40 can stay up and watch it.
[*]Kansas State pulled out a double overtime victory over Xavier. I didn’t think Martin could coach, and I still don’t. How many times can you let Jordan Crawford touch the ball when it is time for a big shot??

[*]Speaking of BCG, he is rumored as the new head coach at either Houston or UTEP. Stay in Texas Billy, no one cares if you win or lose there.
[*]The Boston media has been going after Kentucky all day. If I was them, I would go ahead and turn off my servers and delete every email. It is going to get ugly.
[*]Have you ever had a situation where you sent someone a text and it was supposed to go to someone else? To make it even worse, the text is about that person as well. I swear, texting is going to kill me.
[*]I am looking forward to West Virginia. Saturday might become the longest day of all time. Waiting is such a terrible thing.
