View from Section 137: Back on the Grid

I don’t know if anyone has noticed or not, but I haven’t been blogging. My “neighborhood” internet finally hit the skids and I had to call Windstream. It also made me realize I need a new phone. It is hard to keep up with the daily breaking stories on an old razr. It is time for an upgrade to an Iphone. Now, would anyone like to make a donation to the “Section 137 IPhone fund?” Just kidding. I have already had a week where I can’t win for losing. Everything has gone wrong! It is time for me to get refocused and get back to blogging. I missed you guys.

[*]John Wall made the final cut for the John Wooden Award for the best player in the Nation. Evan Turner has been racking up the hardware lately, so Wall is probably an underdog to win the Wooden. It is still a pretty big honor to have a shot at winning.
[*]Butler almost became my second favorite team in the World last night. It would have been such “Blue Karma” for Duke if the final half court attempt would have went in.
[*]The Reds are still the Reds. Albert Pujols has Aaron Harang in his back pocket. When are the Reds going to figure out that you might want to pitch around Pujols? He is only the best player in the game today.
[*]The QB battle is heating up in spring football practice as my favorite Ryan Mossakowski is looking better early than Newton and Hartline. This QB battle seems to be very competitive and the more they push each other, the better they will be.
[*]Always at the beginning of baseball season I always think of my Papaw and Mamaw. They were huge Braves fans and if they were playing, they were on my Grandparent’s television. My Mamaw would complain so much about Bobby Cox taking out pitchers and not leaving them in long enough. My Papaw is one of the best men I have ever known. If we could all be as great as our grandparents are or were morality would be vastly improved. I miss my Grandparents so much, and if I could be half the man and woman they were I will lead a better life.
[*]Don’t you just love that Pat Forde thought a fake Eric Bledsoe twitter account was really him. If you didn’t know, Pat Forde did an actual story on ESPN about Bledsoe leaving. Sounds like Forde researches people as well as his buddy Rick Pitino does.
[*]Hopefully the recruiting news will start picking up soon. Of course we are also waiting to find out who is leaving the Cats. I guess only time will tell.
[*]I want everyone to make sure and give your parents and grandparents a hug today. You will miss them when they are gone.
