Any writer, worth their weight, understands the power of the Big Blue Nation when it comes to college basketball. One good Kentucky article can bring thousands of hits to a site in a matter of hours.

When it comes to winning, Cat fans are as determined to win as their men’s basketball team. Bluntly, we hate to lose, either on or off the court and the members of the nation prove it day in and day out.
Recently, Terrence Jones was nominated for the Dunk of the Year. Up against three other competitors, the Big Blue raised our head and swept the voting, capturing 61% of the total vote and moving Terrence into the final eight.
Now, it’s time to rise up again and vote for either Terrence Jones or Brandon Knight as the 2010-11 Freshman of the Year in college basketball.
Adam Zagoria, a man who is well worth whatever his weight is, and more, when it comes to writing, is asking the country to vote on who we think is the 2010-11 men’s college basketball Freshman of the Year.
Adam is top notch and I can truthfully say he doesn’t have to include anyone from Kentucky to get the hits. Our challenge is to raise the roof at ZagsBlog.com and push either Terrence or Brandon to their rightful place among those Adam has selected as nominees.
Here are the nominees:
– Jared Sullinger (Ohio State) – 18 ppg, 10.3 rpg
– Terrence Jones (Kentucky) – 17.6 ppg, 9.0 rpg
– Brandon Knight (Kentucky) – 17.3 ppg, 4.1 rpg
– Perry Jones III (Baylor) – 14.7 ppg, 7.0 rpg
– Tobias Harris (Tennessee) – 14.6 ppg, 7.5 rpg
