VIDEO: Matthew Mitchells Post Game Interview At Arkansas

Cats lost for the second time in only three days. This time it was the 2011 SEC road opener at Arkansas. UK looked worn after a game just two days prior against the No. 3 team in the nation, Duke, at Cameron Arena.

In Mitchell’s post game interview, the disappointment in his teams lack of effort and execution were obvious.

Here are some quotes from Coach Mitchell’s interview:

Before the game, the team talked about the importance of three areas: hustle plays, rebounding and making good decisions with the ball.

“We really failed miserably in all of those categories when they mattered.”

“It was a thorough beating by Arkansas. They were the better team tonight, no doubt about it.”

When asked about Arkansas’ Delgado:

“She was terrific. Looked like she was ready to go and like most of their players were very energized, was interested in the game. Saw it was an SEC game.”

Will you be happy to get back home?

“I won’t be happy to be anywhere right now. This kind of performance tonight. You know, just totally gave in to mental, it’s all mental. We didn’t go hard last night, we didn’t go hard yesterday, we didn’t go hard today. They just decided they were going to be really low energy.”
