UK’s Jones Named to Naismith Award Midseason Top 30 List

Kentucky freshman Terrence Jones was named to the Naismith Midseason Top 30 list as announced by the Atlanta Tip-Off Club this morning.

Jones is one of only two freshmen (Jared Sullinger, Ohio State) on the watch list, which will be trimmed following a vote in March.

The midseason top 30 list, which is based on player performances during the 2010-11 season, was complied by the Atlanta Tipoff Club. The Naismith Trophy will be awarded to the college basketball player of the year at the 2011 NCAA Men’s Final Four in Indianapolis.
