Several Kentucky recruits were impressive at the Nike Football Training Camp on Saturday in Columbus.
There were 25 players out of 270 that were named to the ESPN RISE All-Nike Camp team and 6 of them are teams that Kentucky is involved with – including a couple of Kentucky natives.
Here are players with UK recruiting ties that were on the ESPN Rise team:
WR — DeAnthony Arnett, Saginaw (Saginaw, Mich.)
Lived up to advance billing and established himself as maybe the top wide receiver in the region and top prospect in Michigan.
OL — Zack Templin, 6-4, 296, East Jessamine (Nicholasville, Ky.)
Projects as a left tackle and displayed good hips and footwork.
DL — Clint Tucker, 6-2, 298, East St. Louis (East St. Louis, Ill.)
A beast on the interior with great tools who should only get better as he becomes more consistent with his hands and pad level.
LB — Lamar Dawson, 6-2, 233, Boyle County (Danville, Ky.)
Big, rangy, athletic prospect took home Linebacker MVP honors — totaled 176 tackles last fall as a junior.
DB — Glenn Faulkner, 5-11.5, 170, East St. Louis (East St. Louis, Ill.)
Faulkner, a Kentucky recruit, showed Saturday that he is the next great skill position talent out of East St. Louis.
DB — Eilar Hardy, 6-0, 171, Pickerington Central (Pickerington, Ohio)
Safety showed great range and should really be dynamite in college once he fills out his 6-foot frame.
