Matthew Mitchell and the UK Hoops team finished the regular season with a SEC road win at Auburn today 76-62.
Victoria Dunlap led Kentucky with 19 points and 7 rebounds. A’dia Mathies had 13 points with 4 assists and just 1 turnover. Keyla Snowden added 11 and Meagan Conwright chipped in 10.
Kentucky was back to its habit of shooting miserably in the first half but hot shooting in the 2nd helped them pull away. UK shot 36% in the 1st, but got hot in the second going 14-26 for 53.8% and finishing 45% for the game.
Kentucky shot 26 of 34 (76.5 percent) from the free throw line and forced the Tigers into 29 turnovers.
Kentucky will start SEC Tournament play next week and has a first round bye.
