UK Hoops Sweeps Weekly Awards

A’dia Mathies and Bria Goss made it a clean sweep for UK Hoops today.

A’dia Mathies was named SEC Player of the Week, while Bria Goss was tabbed as SEC Freshman of the Week.

[/B]• Scored a season-high 23 points, including 15 in the decisive second half, in UK’s 72-65 win over No. 6/5 Duke.
• Hit a career-high tying four 3-pointers for the second game in a row.
• Grabbed four rebounds and four steals vs. Duke in a team-high tying 33 minutes.
• Shot over 50 percent from the field, including 80 percent from 3-point range (4-5).
• Made a career-high tying nine field goals vs. the Blue Devils.
• Moved up to No. 23 on the all-time scoring list.
• With four steals, she tied Valerie Still at No. 9 on the UK all-time steals list, and became just the 10th player in UK history with 200 or more steals in her UK career.

• Averaged 19.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.0 steals in a pair of wins over No. 6/5 Duke and Arkansas-Pine Bluff last week.
• Scored a career-high 19 points in the upset of No. 6/5 Duke, only to follow it up with a career-high tying 19 points against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
• Played a career-high 32 minutes against No. 6/5 Duke, often drawing the assignment of guarding Duke starting point guard Chloe Wells.
• Recorded a career-high six steals against Arkansas-Pine Bluff en route to leading the Cats to a program-record 49 forced turnovers.
• Hit a career-high three 3-pointers against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
• Hit a team-high 13-of-19 free-throw attempts for the week.
• Has scored in double figures and has grabbed at least one steal in eight of 10 games
