First North Carolina beats us, now Louisville. What a dismal weekend for the Kentucky Wildcats. Coach Mitchell and the UK Hoops team traveled to The Bucket to face Louisville today and were beat from the beginning of the game. The 8th ranked Wildcats couldn’t get anything going and pick up their first loss with a final score of 78-52. Is this just getting the disappointment out early in the season or is this a look into what the entire season is going to be like?[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]
Victoria Dunlap continues to show she’s the leader. Having left the court with 3 minutes to play with a right knee injury, Dunlap finished with 17 points and 23 rebounds. That is the most rebounds since 1982 when Valerie Still set the school record with 27.
Next up for UK Hoops are two Tennessee opponents. Can they get back on track? Can the men’s squad get back on track this week against two Indiana opponents? It’s going to be a tough week after two tough losses.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled NFL game (or Christmas shopping, whatever floats your boat).
