UK Fans Upset by Recent Draft Express Tweets

Rick Bozich, WDRB in Louisville, posted an article this morning about the remarks concerning Nerlens Noel on Twitter yesterday.

While it is entirely possible for a player to have a bad day, it may be likely that said player fulfilling his academic requirements was a top priority this summer. It has been confirmed that Noel will arrive on campus on August 19th to start his college career.

He could be a little behind with his practice, but don’t you wonder if any other player at the Adidas Nations Tournament had a less than stellar day or was he singled out because he’s a highly regarded recruit for the University of Kentucky. Could this be the main reason he was openly criticized on a social media site?

Of course Mr. Givony should have anticipated a reaction from Kentucky fans, that’s expected. If you go to his Twitter and read those remarks it’s kind of surprising that he wonders why people fire back at him. I agree that certain Kentucky fans can get a little carried away sometimes but I was most offended by his remarks regarding the UK media outlets. Our site for one does not post sugar coated stories on players that I am aware of. I have seen many heated debates on here because our writers have reported exactly what they have observed. When the honesty and integrity of the people who write about KY sports is questioned that makes me a little hot under the collar personally. I am not even sure which media outlet that was directed toward, but I am offended anyway.

These are young kids just getting started in their careers so why not just shut up and give them a chance to prove what they can do. Does it really make you feel THAT good to paint a young recruit in a negative light? Shame on you…. seriously…
