Trinity’s Hatcher is playing at a high level

Louisville, KY- When you look at the Trinity HS (Louisville,KY) a lot of young talent sticks out to you. However, the two-and-O team is doing the big things while playing at a high level. Jason Hatcher, a 6-foot-two, 238-pound junior defensive end said after being so young last year, they believe that the quality experience will help them play at that high level as they want to.

“We want to be consistent this year. With the schedule and talent that we have, we believe we have a real good shot this year.”

The Trinity junior not only is making a name for himself to the local people, but he also is turning heads nationally. After adding up offers from programs including Oklahoma, Alabama, Arkansas, and the Wildcats themselves, a lot of hype has bene thrown around about the hybrid defensive end.

“I haven’t really looked at any schools that I like in particular yet. I want to sit down and look at the defense the program runs. I want that school to have my major, which is to be a vet, and I want to go to a program where I can gain a lot of playing time early. I don’t get caught up in all of that hype that the media puts out. ”

When you watch the junior play, the one thing that sticks out to you quickly is speed. The young man out of Louisville said he tries to play like some other guys who have that God-given talent. James Harrison, Dwight Freeney, Julius Peppers he tells me.

“I think my main strength is my speed. I can come off the edge and drop back in coverage. But the thing that really helps me is my aggressiveness and my ability to play at that high level.”

As the Trinity continues their season, watch out for the number three in green coming off the edge.
