College coaches and highschool basketball fans throughout the country are buzzing, there’s something special about class of 2013. It might still be a long way, but looks like Kentucky’s target recruits are making it to the top spots on ESPNU 60.
Jabari Parker seems to be planted on that number 1 spot throughout summer, he remains the top overall prospect in highschool basketball regardless of class. Parker might be an underclassman, but he is the topic of conversation as the best prospect in highschool basketball currently. In fact, he is ranked ahead of Nerlens Noel (currently #2) and Julius Randle (#3), who incidentally are also UK prospects. Along with Parker, Noel and Randle also had a successful showing this summer. According to Dave Telep of ESPN Recruiting, “Parker, Noel and Randle aren’t merely high school players and college prospects; they’re the kind of guys that may be able to be cornerstone pieces for an NBA franchise. ”
Then there’s the Harrison twins, Andrew and Aaron, at #4 and #7, respectively, and both regarded as dominant scorers and crush defenders. Other prospects include Chris Walker (#5) and Aaron Gordon (#6), both extremely athletic forwards.
Here’s the 9 UK Prospects on ESPNU 60:
