One glaring aspect of Kentucky’s ugly win over Little Rock Tuesday, at least from my viewpoint, is this team does not talk to each other.
The definition of communication is pretty simple:

I sat under the basket at Freedom Hall and the hot topic of discussion on press row was how this team never talks to each other.
NEVER.
No one talks on offense. If someone isn’t where they’re supposed to be there is no communication between anyone to tell that person where to go.
I believe Calipari said it best, ”If you line up with eleven guys and there’s one guy out of whack it’s like, ‘Whoa! Go where you’re supposed to go!” he said. “It’s no different in basketball.”

In other words, someone needs to step up and be a leader and TALK!
Marquis Teague doesn’t talk, but it is hard to worry about everyone else when it seems like he is only worried about himself.
The point guard, and to steal the football analogy from Cal, is the quarterback of the team. If your point guard isn’t directing and leading the team, does it matter if he calls a play or not?
I guess what my point is, if this team doesn’t care enough to talk to each other, especially when a teammate is not where they are supposed to be on the floor, then this team has a problem.
I am thinking Calipari is beginning to realize the same thing, “”You’re not a true friend,” he said. “You’re not thinking I got to do my job for my team. And that’s where we’re trying to get these guys that there’s a sense of responsibility that you have for these other guys.”

I know this team has only lost 1 game and is the #2 team in the country, but isn’t all of this about #8?
If this team doesn’t start communicating and caring about each other more, the only communication there will be is when Kentucky fans are talking about what might have been.
