Marquis Teague was the worst player in America for the first 20 minutes in Bloomington Saturday.
He couldn’t make a layup.
He couldn’t do anything.
He couldn’t have been an extra on the White Boy Academy videos.
Something happened after halftime though.
Marquis Teague looked like the point guard that every one thought he was.
He was taking the ball to the basket with meaning.
He was making plays.
Scoring with ease to a clip of 15 points.
Driving to the basket while showing his speed, quickness, and agility.
Making free throws when the game was on the line.
He looked like a leader that would rather die than lose.
Marquis Teague needs to be the player he was in the 2nd half for this team to contend for a national title.
Has Teague turned the corner as a player after his Tale of Two Halves?
I guess we will know on December 31st when Kentucky hosts another red team that has significant meaning to Marquis Teague.
