ESPN had a great article about ‘complisults’ this week (the insult that sounds like a compliment at first, but hits you later as an insult). They did theirs on the NFL teams, but I was thinking of what could be ‘complisults’ for the SEC football teams. Since the UK football SEC opener is this weekend, let’s look at the conversations we could be having with the competition, shall we?
[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]Alabama: That’s what I like about your coach; he doesn’t care about players’ entrance exams.
Florida: Man, you must be relieved that all the media attention on your quarterback has completely died down.
Arkansas: You’re so lucky your cheerleaders aren’t obsessed with how they look.
Georgia: I don’t care what everybody says, I don’t think a Georgia diploma is completely worthless.
Vanderbilt: I think it’s great that you place such a high emphasis on academics that you would totally sacrifice your athletic programs.
Tennessee: Criminals? No, I’m sure your athletes aren’t all criminals.
Auburn: Wow, you guys must have a high overall GPA with courses that easy.
Can you think of any others? I have a feeling some of our foes will be posting UK ones in the comments as well.
