After a dismal performance in his first summer league game, Marquis Teague looked much more himself in the Bulls’ losing effort against Terrence Jones and the Rockets.
[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]
The former Wildcat point guard turned in a solid 14 points and 5 assists and managed to pull out a single steal as well. Teague also accounted for five of Chicago’s 19 turnovers in the game, a number that stings slightly less than the six mishandles and one assist from his efforts against Boston. Remember though, Teague’s assist to turnover ratio (while at Kentucky) was better than both John Wall’s and Brandon Knight’s. Marquis will adjust to the pace and intensity that comes with playing as a pro point guard and his stats will follow suit.
Teague wasn’t the only Wildcat on the floor, Terrence Jones and newly traded Rocket big-man, Josh Harrelson both turned out good performances against the Bulls. Jones continues to roll, this time racking up 17 points, 9 rebounds and one blocked shot while Harrelson contributed 13 points and 4 rebounds in the Rockets’ winning performance against the Bulls.
