ESPN had a great article on Dewitt, NY native DaJuan Coleman. Coleman is a powerful and excellent-shooting center from the class of 2012, and ESPN is not the only organization to take notice. Junior Achievement also did a week-long series on him. He is ranked in the top 10 overall by Rivals (8), Scout (5), Maxpreps (3) and ESPN (3). As a Freshman, Coleman averaged 11.6 points and 10.7 rebounds – as a Sophomore, 18.1 points and 13.1 rebounds.
According to Scout.com, Coleman has offers from Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio State, Syracuse, and West Virginia. Syracuse is the only school on his list to get an unofficial visit so far. While his interest in Kentucky is listed as “high”, Alex Kline reports that some pundits think Syracuse is a lock for his services. Kentucky has no commitments from the 2012 class yet, but Scout lists that scholarships have been offered to Coleman, Perry Ellis, Brandon Ashley, L.J. Rose, Kyle Anderson and J.P. Tokoto… for now.
