Don’t tell Julius Randle that he is ranked second in the 2013 class, he already knows.[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]
He also knows that Jabari Parker’s participation in the second half of July evaluations is in question. Look for Randle to try and take over.
”Randle is going after the top spot with a vengeance. He is physically dominant, has skills to match and plays to a throng of the nation’s top coaches each time he hits the floor.”
The Harrison twins are also putting on a show in the month of July. Aaron (SG) is automatic from range and is producing games where his point totals push 30+. Andrew (PG) can get into the lane and use his physicality and athleticism to create wide open looks for team mates or finish strong at the rim. The twins are ranked 3rd and 4th in the class of 2013.
Recently, there has been a lot of new talk about Andrew Wiggins and with good merit. The 6-7, SF is the top player in the class of 2014 and he’s trying to reclassify to 2013. If he does, every coach in the nation will be rewriting their recruiting priorities. That’s probably because the growing consensus is that Wiggins has no superior in all of high school basketball.
With two weeks down, the recruiting scene is in “Black Friday” mode and coaches and teams everywhere are looking to the future. The second half of July is still to come and there are sure to be surprises and movement among the giants of high school.
