Spraying for Weeds

Every spring I have to prep my yard and get it ready for the summer, I kicked it off today by spraying for weeds. These weeds have popped up over the last few weeks as the warmer temperatures have crept in and the rain has poured down. My job now is to get rid of the weeds and clean up the yard.

Much like our yearly yard work, the off season serves a bit of the same purpose. In the off months our athletes spend their time getting rid of bad habits, making themselves stronger and more fit, and prepping for next year’s season.

How do you think Darius Miller is getting rid of his weeds this off season? According to CoachCal, Miller was told to take some sort of karate class this summer to bring out some aggression in his game….something he often lacked throughout this previous season.

What about Doron Lamb? His job will be to bulk up, and add some strength to his game. If Terrence Jones decides to stay another year, his yard work will consist of getting better at his mid range and outside jumper, as well as practicing the art of good decision making.

As people, we could all use a little yard prep each year, as never hurts to make yourself a better person and improve. That’s what I did today in killing those weeds to develop my yard, and that is what our boys in blue will do this off season to bring home number 8.
