News broke [URL=”http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=2&c=1034225&ssf=1&RequestedURL=http://scouthoops.scout.com/2/1034225.html”]late last night[/URL] that Indianapolis North Central Junior D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera has de-committed from Xavier. Smith-Rivera is a 6′ 4″ SG/PG ranked in the top 25 overall by most of the major recruiting sites.
Before his commitment, he held offers from Cincinnati, Indiana, Louisville, Ohio St., Purdue and Tennessee (with interest from Kentucky). According to Scout, his current list has Georgetown, Indiana, Miami(FL), Ohio State, Wake Forest and Xavier (with G-town being the only offer).
I honestly don’t see Calipari going after Smith-Rivera at this time, because he already has offers to three guards in the 2012 class according to Scout (L.J. Rose, Archie Goodwin and Kyle Anderson). But you never know.
