Shame on You

If I am home and have a chance to catch an episode of Pardon the Interruption (PTI) on ESPN, I will usually turn it on. I like the fact the show can give me a quick recap of any “controversy” in sports, and if nothing else, keep me up to date with things I’ve missed throughout the day.
[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]PTI is notorious for making their top stories Kentucky related. When John Wall and Calipari had a minor disagreement last year it was the top story on PTI, when Cal called Terrence Jones a selfish M*&%$# F&*^%$# during the Old Miss game this season, it was the top story on PTI. I take it you are getting my drift.

I got home early from work today, looking forward to an episode of PTI where surely the top story would be the Bob Knight slurs about UK basketball. Kentucky sells which is why they lead shows like this, and I couldn’t wait to hear Michael Wilbon argue against Tony Kornheiser on whether or not Knight should have apologized.

So I turn it on….and nothing. Since ESPN employs the cowardly Bob Knight, I’m sure they were instructed to keep it as quiet as possible. So now, not only do I think Bob Knight is a bully who hides behind false words and accusations, but ESPN has cemented a place along side him. Yes, Knight’s apology was the 8th story on Sportscenter, 8th story. A news story is a news story, and if it involves sports, it should be covered on big time shows like PTI. Time to man up Entertainment and Sports Programming Network!
