Shabazz Muhammad Scores 22 in Super 64 Losing Effort

Shabazz Muhammad suffered a high ankle sprain earlier in the Adidas Super 64 in Las Vegas, but that didn’t keep him from playing in the championship game.

Muhammad scored 22 and Winston Shepard had 19, but Dream Vision couldn’t overcome Texas Assault, losing 93-78.

“I wanted to give it a go,” said Muhammad. “As long as my foot wasn’t broken, I was going to try to help my team win this championship. Unfortunately, we just came up short.”

I’m sure it was a bittersweet end to Muhammad’s AAU career, but rest assured he will be ready to go when high school season rolls around.
