Auburn travels to Lexington this weekend to play the Cats at Commonwealth Stadium. Other than a huge matchup for the Cats, who will be trying to end a 2 game losing streak vs. the #8 team in the nation, it is also another big recruiting weekend for Joker Phillips and his staff. Three of the top talents in the Louisville area will be taking unofficial visits to Lexington.

Ross has already been offered by Joker, and would be a nice addition to the 2012 class. Ross was the first recruit this past offseason to get an offer from Kentucky. Tyrone is another 2012 recruit which would be a great piece to correcting the defensive problems in the future for the Cats. I konw that Tyrone is very interested in Kentucky, and it would be very interesting to see where he finally decides to play football at, Louisville or Kentucky. Michael Fluellen, a 6’5″ 200 lbs. wide receiver, also plays his football at Seneca. Fluellen might be the most underrated player in the Louisville area, having a torn ACL last season, so this is really his first playing time in 2 years. This hasn’t held him back at all this year, as in his last game he had 3 catches for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns. Louisville, Kentucky, illinois, and Cincinnati are teams which are interested in Michael. Fluellen is a 2011 recruit, and being a big receiver would be welcome to next year’s class. I look at Louisville as an in-state battle ground for recruiting. Joker needs to take care of business in the River City, and start funneling these guys to Lexington. I love keeping in-state talent home, and if Joker could land all three of these guys the coup will be in full force. Go Cats!!
