Ryan Harrow Leaving NC State

Ryan Harrow, a top recruit out of high school, has decided to leave NC State after his freshman year.

Harrow is a 5’11” point guard from Marietta, Georgia was rated 5 stars by Scout.com in the 2010 class.

Harrow made 10 starts during his freshman season while playing in 29 games and ranking seventh in the ACC with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.9. He averaged 9.3 points.

Harrow will have to sit out next year, due to NCAA transfer rules, but one has to wonder if he will be on the radar for Kentucky’s 2012 class.

Here is a quick descrption from Scout on Harrow’s game coming out of high school.

Extremely quick lead guard who gets into the paint and has tons of shots in his bag of tricks. Not tall but ability to shoot on the move is asset against bigger players. Needs to develop his body and presence as a floor general at the point. Scoring comes natural to him and he’s good at finding the bottom of the net.
