Ricardo Ledo Might Still Take His Official Visit To Kentucky

On Christmas day, Ricardo Ledo, the Number 2 shooting guard and number 7 overall player in the Class of 2012, shocked the recruiting world when he committed to play for the Providence Friars.

The shock wasn’t that he chose Providence, it was more the way he announced it, via Twitter, and the fact that the Friars beat out basketball powerhouses like Kentucky, Louisville, Duke, West Virginia, UConn, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Villanova, Kansas, Florida, and UCLA.

Ledo was scheduled to visit Kentucky and then visit Louisville on the same day the Cats come to town to play the Cards in the newly opened Yum! Center.

All thought that he would immediately cancel those visits but when asked, Ledo had this to say:

He said he still may take those visits.“I don’t know yet,” Ledo said.

Ledo is a Providence native who transferred to South Kent (Conn.) from St. Andrew’s School in Barrington, R.I.

Will Calipari still allow the official visit? That is still to be determined and we will probably never know unless Ledo actually does stick with his plan and visit Lexington.

Go Cats!!!
