The Wildcats traveled to Knoxville to face the Tennessee Volunteers on January 13, 2009. Just after the tip-off, it was obvious that this would be a game that would be burned into the memories of Wildcat fans for years to follow. This was the game that Jodie Meeks scored 54 points to lead the Wildcats past Tennessee, 90-72.[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]
No one from Tennessee could stop the Jodie Meeks assault. The game which ended with #23 breaking 2 Kentucky Wildcat records, was the highlight real of the year for fans. Jodie shot 10-15 from 3-point land, made 5 2-point shots and was perfect from the free throw line making all 14 attempts. Meeks scored more points that night that six Division I teams and was the most points scored in regulation by a single player in the past decade.
