This week, Quincy Miller has been making headlines as the University of Loserville has continued to make it’s way up Miller’s list of considerations. Six months ago, many thought Miller would be a lock for UK, but with UK’s recent interest in Anthony Davis and Duece Bello’s (Miller’s good friend) interest in UofL, who knows where Miller will end up. In a recent article, Miller stated that wherever he attended school, he wanted to be “someone everybody hates”. Well, just go to Loserville and that will happen overnight…

Rick Pitino is recruiting Deuce Bello and you have to think Ricky is using that angle to get to Miller. This would be a huge steal for UofL if they can land Miller and if they miss, it could be another huge blow to Ricky’s status as a top recruiter. Don’t get me wrong, Bello is no slouch, but letting the world know how close you are to landing Miller and then watching him go to UK, would definitely be a blow to UofL and Ricky’s pride.
”Once I get in college, I definitely want to be a rival,” Miller said. “I want to be somebody that everybody hates.”
It also seems Miller has a little bit of Demarcus Cousins in him. This would definitely make him someone the media would love to interview, UK fans would love, and rival fans would hate. Here’s a glimpse into Miller’s personality during an interview. You can tell that he’s not ashamed to tell the world how good he is.
On the courts, he has moments when he’ll be exactly the kind of player an opposing fan will target. In a FOXSports.com poll, his peers voted him the biggest trash-talker among top recruits. In Thursday’s game, KC Pump N Run roughed him up on nearly every possession. When knocked to the floor one final time, he got up with an ironic sort of smile gleaming toward the audience.
“At first I came in, I was thinking like I was going to be, you know, the man? But then I had to change that and had to be a role player. And once I got that, I kind of like took over the team. I was second-leading scorer, and best rebounder, and my plus-minus on the court was better than anybody’s.”
“So I just got it in my own head that I was going to have to play a spot. I wasn’t going to be a star,” Miller said. “That’s what I did, but I came out and become a star.”
