The 13th Peak NBA Spokesperson, Patrick Patterson, Made his Debut Visit to Beijing
To Compete with New Jersey Net
(13 October 2010, Hong Kong) Houston Rockets (“Rocket”) arrived in Beijing in high profile yesterday (12 October) to prepare for the competition with New Jersey Net in the first contest of NBA China Games held today (13 October). Three spokespersons of Peak Sport Products Co., Limited (“Peak” or the “Company”, together with its subsidiaries referred to as the “Group”; stock code: 1968) in Rockets, namely Shane Battier, Kyle Lowry and Patrick Patterson, who just became Peak’s 13th NBA spokesperson, came all the way to China. In particular, it was Patrick Patterson’s first journey to China.
On the first day of arrival in Beijing, Kyle Lowry and Patrick Patterson set off to Beijing Peak Center for Innovation and Design at Pingod, Dongsanhuan (東三環蘋果社區) to observe the design process of Peak’s sports shoes. Accompanied by “Little Giant” Yao Ming and Rocket’s veteran Battier, Lowry and Patterson were well received by basketball fans throughout the visit.
“I am very glad to have joined Peak as our cooperation offers me the chance to be part of this leading sports products brand in China. I am looking forward to wear Peak’s sports shoes on courts and I hope to grow with Peak all along,” said Rockets’ forward Patrick Patterson.
Patterson, who just reached 20 years of age, was the freshman selected by Houston Rockets in the first round of the No.14 pick. Graduated from the University of Kentucky, a famous NCAA university, he was accredited as one of the top power forwards in the draft this year and was, considered by many experts, the rookie who would adapt to NBA games within the shortest time.
Peak’s CEO, Mr. Xu Zhihua said, “Our endorsement philosophy changes as Peak grows. In the past, we needed star players such as Battier and Kidd to boost our profile in domestic and international markets. What Peak is seeking now as a well-established brand, however, are young accomplished players who can turn themselves into star players on their own in the future. Our endorsement with Patterson marked another bright spot for our star strategy.”
