Joker Phillips took time yesterday to have some fun with the Kentucky Wildcats off the field. Yesterday was Operation: Cornhole day. Phillips started by letting us know that Cobb and Davis are the reigning champions, having won the traditional UK Cornhole tournament for the past 2 years. This year, like all things UK Football, was not to follow suit. Could this year’s SEC tournament find a new championship team like this year’s Cornhole tournament?[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]
“The team is over at my house for our annual cornhole tourney. I’ll let u know the results later. Cobb & his partner have won the last 2 yrs,” Joker Phillips said Sunday via Twitter. “This just in…Cobb and his partner Marcus Davis lost their first-round game. They will have to battle out of the losers bracket now.”
“Championship game is RB Moncell Allen / TE Gabe Correll vs Coach Chuck Smith and DE Taylor Wyndam,” Phillips tweeted shortly after posting a picture of the tournament bracket. With the recruits Joker and the Wildcats are racking up for 2011, they too might have to consider a bracket expansion.
“Defense won the first game 21-18. It’s the best 2 out of three. Here is Taylor and Gabe throwing.”
“Coach Smith and Taylor won. Chuck was on fire. Great day with the team. Can’t wait for practice to start this week!”
