I know that the thought of this loss hurts a lot. I know that as Kentucky fans we have waited 13 years for the Final Four and I know it hurts that Josh Harrellson will never play at Kentucky again.
But let’s look at it this way, The Kentucky basketball program is finally back on the Map. Long gone are the days of Billy Gillespie, and long gone are the losses to Gardner-Webb. The Kentucky Wildcats are back.
Ok ok I know, they lost tonight. But they played a good game, made a great second half come back and fell just short. If you aren’t happy with the progress this team and program have made, you probably started watching Kentucky Basketball when Coach Cal was hired.
It looks like things are only getting better also. The excitement of Four McDonalds All Americans, and just the thought of Knight, Jones and Lamb coming back brings joy and comfort to next years Cats.
If you look at it as Knight, Jones and Lamb stay Kentucky may have two starting fives in a ten man rotation.
Let’s not worry about tonight, it just wasn’t their night. But be proud that the Kentucky Wildcats have made it back in the spotlight and are there to stay.
