Nashville,Tennessee- McGavock High School has become a hot spot for many college coaches. Defensive end Caleb Azubike has recently gained a major offer from Miami (FL).
Recently, the Music City product has been made a top target for the Wildcats. “Coach [Joker] Phillips called me and told me that he would be my main recruiter. It makes me think that I’m a major need to them. I think he’s a great person, from what I know of, and he is down to earth. ”
Azubike is pretty new to the game of football, having only played for two years. But he has soon learned that his future is bright in the game. Even though being new to the game, it has not shied away the coaches from Lexington and around the country.
The Nashville prospect is making a visit this weekend to Lexington to checkout the Wildcats.
“I wanna see great coaches. I also wanna see a great environment.”
Being the first time visiting Kentucky, it will be a great time for the coaching staff to gain on schools like Vanderbilt, Miami(FL), and Boston College.
Azubike,being from the state of Tennessee, has recently gained a lot of interest from the Vols themselves. ” I think once they (Tennessee) offers they’ll be in my top five.
With the possibility of a Vols offer, what does it mean for the Wildcats?
“They are not in not in my top five, but they are definitely in the mix.”
With this said, I believe Joker and the staff can gain some ground this weekend with a great visit.
Since the U offer, Azbuike has gained a lot of heavy interest from Michigan, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Stanford, and Michigan State.
Others such as Mississippi State and Louisville also have expressed interest.
Azubike has a chance to have a great career at the next level with a frame that can put on weight, and the athletic ability to get to the quarterback.
