Welcome to Perry’s second edition of his Nation of Blue Recruiting Journal!
In this edition, Perry talks his visit to Kansas, the Super Bowl, and being out of school for snow.
Enjoy!
[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]

Hello fans!
Since my last diary, we won the McPherson Invitational Tournament. Wichita Heights hadn’t won this tournament in 30 years so it was great to win that. The gym was packed and it was a great atmosphere to play a championship game in. We are 15-0 right now. We have won 34 games in a row, so that is a great feeling. We are playing well and having fun right now.
My visit to Kansas was great! The fans really supported Thomas Robinson after the loss of his mom and that was the first game he played in since her funeral. I thought that was really nice. It was also cool seeing the ceremony for Wayne Simien and I liked what he had to say as well.
We attended a Super Bowl Party at a friend’s of ours, and we had a great time. It was great to just hang out with family and friends, eat great food, and watch some football and commercials.
Wichita has had so much snow and very cold temperatures so far. We have already had 6 snow days this year. We didn’t have school today either. I would rather be in school, though. I was bored, so I shoveled the driveway.
Wichita State Assistant Chris Jans was at the game last week against Wichita Southeast. It seems like most of our games are on the same night as the 6 schools recruiting me, so they all stay in touch in other ways besides coming to see me. Coaches Jeff Capel and Josh Pastner called me this week. Kansas State Assistant Coach Brad Underwood called me last week. Coach Danny Manning and Coach Orlando Antigua both email me often.
Our next game is Friday at home against Wichita West. We have 5 games left in league play, then it’s the time it all matters!
Wish me luck!
